Every New Accessory We'd Like to Own Happens to Be in This Colour

It's an instant mood lifter.

Strap yourself in because this new trending accessory colour is not for the fainthearted. Just as it gets grey and gloomy outside, yellow hues are here to lift us all up.

Though it's a shade we're not terribly confident in, when we saw this trend on the autumn/winter 2018 runways, it instantly caught our eye. There were two different standout shades that stood out: mustard and sorbet. We love how both define two very different styles of dressing.

Roksanda's effortlessly sophisticated collection opted for showstopping brights (just look at the brand's canary-yellow boots and top-handle bags). Not for the shy ones out there, this shade is begging to clash with other warm, wintery brights. On the other end of the scale, Isabel Marant's thigh-high mustard cowboy boots dominated its A/W 18 runway show, which was otherwise a fairly muted palette of grey, beige and burgundy. If you're like me and often stick to a natural palette, it was the push we needed to start reaching for a yellow accessory this year.
